Undergraduates Coops and Internships for Undergraduates BME students can do an internship at a BME Faculty lab at UConn, or pursue an internship opportunity off campus. Undergraduate students in BME may pursue internship opportunities inside or outside of the University of Connecticut. Internships afford students the opportunity to improve their resume writing, hone interview skills, explore a diverse variety of companies and gain valuable work experience. Students may pursue opportunities in any of the 50 states. For UConn internship opportunities, check the Internship bulletin board in the Bronwell Building, or visit the Faculty homepages and contact those Faculty in your area of interest to explore an internship. COOPS and Internships at BME Companies The UConn BME Program is a member of BME Career Alliance. The BME Career Alliance is a non-profit organization that seeks to facilitate interactions between Biomedical Engineering / Bioengineering Programs and industry. They offer companies and research institutions the ability to post internships, co-ops, research opportunities, and jobs. Students and alumni from our member universities have the opportunity to search and apply for these positions. These students are trained to work at the intersection of science, medicine and mathematics to solve emerging, complex biological and medical problems. They are ideally suited to work in the medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
