Clinical Engineering Internship Program
About the Program
The Clinical Engineering Internship program is intended for M.S. students enrolled in the BME program. It offers an in-depth, rigorous, clinical experience that matches the engineering expertise gained in the classroom. The primary objectives of this intense internship program are to:
- Provide BME graduate students exposure to hospital organization and administrative functions.
- Permit BME graduate students an opportunity to apply engineering techniques to patient care and hospital-based research.
- Provide substantial experience working with hospital personnel, including administrators, nurses, technicians and medical staff.
The internship includes a stipend, full health care benefits and tuition waiver for each academic year. Summer support is also available. Information about this program is contained in the Biomedical Engineering Handbook (PDF).
