Project Title

Standing Gardener and Multi-Terrain Wheelchairs

Description of Project

Sean Stenglein is a ten year old boy with cerebral palsy and is in need of a couple devices to help him in his daily activities. His parents own two green houses in which they have a business raising and selling flowers. Sean enjoys helping them but he is quickly outgrowing the device that allows him to stand while he does his work. Also Sean has trouble getting around at the beach and in the snow with his regular wheelchair.

Sean's parents have come up with a few ideas for devices which may help Sean with these problems. They have asked for a telescoping device to be built, which will hold Sean in a standing position so he could help his parents with their gardening. Also they asked to have a multi-terrain wheelchair built for Sean which will increase ease of movement.
