The goal of our team is to build a weight scale  that enables a wheel chair user to keep track of his own weight without assistance by providing an easy access to the scale and also a visual output.

Wheel chair users very often need to keep track of their weight on a daily basis. Some of these users do not have the capability of leaving the chair in order to get their weight recorded. Some other wheel chair users may have a hearing and/or a visual impairment and have difficulty when reading the scale recording. Weight scales that are on the market are extremely expensive, and wheel chair users need of supervision when accessing the wheel chair and when reading recordings. A weight scale for wheel chair users is designed in order to give them more independence when accessing the weight scale, and also displays an easy-to-read output of the individual’s weight.
