The Biomedical Engineering (BME) program hosted a career fair on February 7, 2008 for biomedical engineering students across the region. Sixteen employers participated in the fair, which attracted over 200 students from schools that included the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Florida International University, the University of Michigan, SUNY Stony Brook, MIT and other colleges and universities. Among the employers and academic programs exhibiting were the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Philips Research N.A., National Instruments Corp., Medtronic, BrainLAB, Teleflex Medical, Covidien, the Texcel LLC, Genzyme Biosurgery, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Respironics, the University of Alabama at Birmingham Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, the Association for Women in Science, the UConn Clinical Engineering Master's Program and the Government VA Training Program. |
The BME program will be hosting the 4th annual career fair for the biomedical engineering students on February 5, 2009, from Noon to 5pm. The fair is open to all students, graduate programs and companies. There is no registration fee for attendees, including bme programs and companies. This event is sponsored by BEACON and the Bioimedical Engineering Career Alliance.
