Ki Chon Awarded $2.2 Million from NIH

Professor and BME Department Head Ki Chon was part of a multi-university team (Boston University, UMass Medical School and University of Connecticut) that was awarded $2.2 million from the NIH to study “Sepsis Monitoring for Atrial Fibrillation Detection in Real Time.”  The team will develop real-time waveform algorithms to detect AFib during sepsis, tools to predict the onset of AFib, and create a portable risk score for ICU patients in sepsis.
